Nearly Wild Camping,
at Oakfield and Mill Farms,
Golden Cross, East Sussex.

This East Sussex campsite has very basic facilities, but there is a country pub and a spar shop an easy five minute walk away and the bustling little market town of Hailsham just 4 miles down the road. This is Nearly Wild Camping; campers washing-up facilities consist of just a cold water tap, so don't expect anything in the way of modern comforts (though we have just installed beautiful flush loos with hot water handwash sinks), Campfires are allowed, logs for sale.No cars allowed in camping fields except for loading/unloading.

(Don't confuse us with the Old Mill Holiday Park
which is also in Chalvington Road, Golden Cross)

Tents: £8 /adult per night, children(aged 4 to15) £4 . Logs £5/basket

The Pond Field, we try to reserve this for adults. Pitch your tent in the Pond area or choose a field corner.
The Camping Field, we try to keep this for families with children

It is a couple of minutes walk across grass meadows to the sites. There is a log cabin for communal use. Campfires are allowed and logs can be purchased for £5 a basket.

.Leave your cars in The Entrance Field. This has hard access off the lane
